A managed web platform
One developer builds and maintains your site. You run your business.
Free to launch. $90/mo.
One subscription covers the build, hosting, updates, and security, all handled by a veteran developer who stays with your site. For independent professionals who’d rather serve their clients than manage their website.
A lot is covered below
You do not need to read it all at once. Get started when you feel ready and come back to a section only when a question comes up. Or message me.
First how this compares, and why this model exists.
Who stays with the site
One person stays after launch. That work is already covered.
When a change feels expensive to request, or there is nobody left to ask, a site settles into safe updates. Starting over starts to feel easier than evolving what you have. Most owners end up with an agency, a freelancer who has moved on, or a builder they run themselves.
Agency
$5k–$20k+ upfront
then ongoing retainers
Freelancer
Project ends, they’re gone
undocumented architecture left behind

Next how we work together once you’re in.
When you subscribe
I build your site from scratch as part of your subscription.
Launch time varies but is typically 14-21 days.
You send me your current site, a few reference sites you like, or nothing at all. You fill out a brief that captures your style, audience, and goals. We talk through the most important pages and features.
I build the homepage. You review and request changes. Once it’s right, I build the rest of the site the same way.
You guide the direction. I implement the details. Your site is built around how your business actually works, not from a one-fits-all template.
After launch
The same arrangement continues. The requests just get smaller.
Send requests to [email protected]. An auto-reply confirms it’s in the queue.
If your site is broken, email [email protected] or text. Same-day fix. Standard requests go through the normal queue.
Small changes deploy directly. Larger changes are staged for your approval. Complex requests are scoped and confirmed before work begins.
The service is designed so you rarely need to call but when a conversation would help, for a new feature or rework or something urgent, text or email me to set up a call. Phone access without phone tag.
Send a real request. I’ll handle it like it’s your site.
Open Joe’s Cafe, a demo site I built to show how this works. Tell me what you’d like changed. I’ll interpret your direction and implement it, the same way I would for your actual site. You’re testing the process, not the limits.
What you get
A site built to perform, maintained to last. One fee covers it all.
Built into every site
- SEO structure, analytics, and conversion tracking
- Fast load times and responsive design on every device
- Rich content: images, video, custom layouts, formatting
- SSL, backups, monitoring. Built into the platform, not bolted on as extras.
- Built on a standard, professional stack (Laravel, Livewire, Tailwind)
These are standard things many services charge extra for or leave you to configure. Here they’re part of the platform, automated and maintained as part of your subscription.
Covered when you need it
- New pages, content updates, and section redesigns
- Fixing bugs, improving UX, adjusting forms and fields
- Lead generation tools, booking systems, client portals
- Member dashboards and client education features
Domain & email
You own and renew your domain. I point it at your site and handle the rest. Emails from your site (contact forms, notifications) are included. If you need a business inbox at your domain, I’ll set it up during onboarding for a one-time fee.
Your site’s foundation follows Laravel convention, not a private builder CMS. After a paid code handoff, any competent Laravel developer can continue the work.
Non-standard or intricately custom integrations, complex features, or redefining your site’s fundamental purpose are scoped as one-time tasks with a one-time fee.
Why this works
You keep your clients happy to stay in business. I do the same for you.
Capacity is capped at around 50 clients. That’s the number I can serve well: quick responses, thorough work, lasting relationships. The cap isn’t a limitation; it’s how the service stays responsive without becoming impersonal.
Who runs this
I’m Joel. I’ve been building websites for over ten years. Every site on this platform is built and maintained by me—no team, no handoffs, no account manager between us. The name Craftjd is the label for the system I built to do this at a consistent level.
“When something needs updating, I send a short note and it gets done. I don’t manage the site anymore and I love it.”

Boundaries
Cancellation
Email me. The subscription ends and the site stays live through the end of your billing period. No questions asked.
Taking your site elsewhere
Canceling ends the subscription. It does not include ownership of the full site build. If you want the code handed off to another provider, I prepare that as a one-time fee. Data exports are separate and available annually on request so your content is never trapped.
Growing past this model
This service is designed for businesses that don’t need a full team. If you eventually need more (complex infrastructure, an in-house developer, a different platform), a paid code handoff lands on a standard Laravel stack any competent developer can continue.
Ready to start?
Either way, you’ll hear back from a real person. No sales pressure, no automated funnels.
